The School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Automotive Engineering has a global reputation for teaching and research. In particular, our innovative Activity-led Learning approach is internationally recognised and has shaped the unique culture of our forward-facing Faculty, with its inspirational £55M state-of the art building hosting new equipment and facilities.

We have a strong tradition of business-focussed research with important relationships with Emirates, Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls Royce and Unipart. The engineering portfolio includes Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport and Manufacturing. The management portfolio includes Engineering Management, Aviation Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Project Management.

The School has around 2500 students supported by 200 staff and offers an exciting, dynamic environment with many opportunities for progression.
